Romania — 10 MWh Utility-Scale BESS

REAP Battery delivered a 10 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) — a system that stores energy so it can be used later — for a large grid-scale project in Romania.

Project Overview

This 10 MWh system stores energy at grid scale. It helps support the electricity grid and makes better use of renewable energy from sources such as solar and wind.

Engineering

The system uses containerized LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries — a safe, long-life battery type — with liquid cooling and a built-in fire suppression system, built for safe and reliable operation at large scale.
